So far I can tell you they are very stable and find microscopic targets, some good some bad.
Have not found any Gold nuggets yet.
The signal rings out on small Roman coins, have also found some big Victorian pennies at reasonable depth which surprised me.
The battery in the lower stem is a brilliant idea.

Have a field very heavy minerilised and trashy , will the hf coil be good for these conditions , or are best for cleaner sites

I am running Hf coil at 30 kHz it seems to be very stable the only thing I can say at the moment is that smaller targets do ring out a lot better.I will try 30 kHz for a few days more to see how it goes.

Gubby thanks for update, I just bought new coil and will have a play, have you tried the lower frequency on the hf coil
